Last Week

Watching Eurovision
Olly was allowed to stay up way past his bedtime. His wasn't too interested in the singing, but he quite enjoyed sharing Alfie's chocolate bar. Note basket of ironing on the table. I styled that shot well.

Thrift at Porth Leven
It was a squally wind on Saturday. Too rough for the sailing club. So me, Marc and Olly went to Porth Leven. We walked, explored and the boys had an ice cream. The bestest charity shop in the world was closed. Boo.

Ladybird
There has been lots of these lovely creatures in the garden lately. I'm dead chuffed.

Bumblebee
Olly could tell you it's a buff tailed one. We have a chart. He is tested daily.

A Lovely Surprise
This was poked through my open window when I came back from picking up Olly on Friday (I live in St Ives. There is no crime. Therefore I have become completely complacent about security). Totally unexpected, and all the lovelier for it.

Birthday
More parcels. It was Marc's birthday on Wednesday. But we celebrated at the weekend. Because he works away. And Olly wanted a banner and balloons for Daddy. Alfie ate most of the cake. Which was shop bought. I bought Marc a cook book. Well a girl can dream...

Mini Figures
They are everywhere at the moment. Even under the dog. She puts up with it, but I can tell she isn't happy with the arrangement.

New Shoes
My new shoes. Blue Converse. It makes a change from my wellies.

An Ostentatious Clematis
But I love it. I am going to take some cuttings to grow more. The flowers are as big as my hand.

Boy With Blue Background
A lovely colour. We are thinking of having Betty sprayed this shade of blue next year. And one of the wellies has lost an eye.

  2. Olly is such a charmer Leanne! And his ice cream looks yummy. I just found a bumble bee chart and will have a closer look at our garden bumbles tomorrow. Lovely family picture of your boys watching Eurovision. I completely missed it because I was watching 4 episodes of The Great Allotment Challenge on the iplayer.

  3. I love the picture of the thrift. I used to call it sea pinks as well. We're headed to Porthleven next month. Can't wait! D'you fancy meeting up one evening after little people's bedtimes? I'm not sure how far away you are, I'll look at a map. What a stunning clematis, such fantastic texture. And those little man curls, oh so lovely. We have a bumble bee chart as well, and a butterfly one. I can only ever identify them if I can photograph them and study the pictures. And I usually can't photograph the butterflies, they see me thundering towards them and fly away. We have mini figures too, and a vast amount of yellow Lego heads. More heads than bodies it seems to me. Have a good week Leanne, CJ xx

  4. These are all wonderful moments. I really love the clematis. I don't know whether I could grow that here but I always admire it on blogs. Is the Eurovision show the one with the "bearded lady" contestant? That was interesting when I saw it in the news. If it makes you feel better, I'm in awe that you even have a basket of ironing. The only time I bother with my iron is for crafts. :)

    1. It was the one with the bearded lady. I was rooting for Spain. I had £5 in a sweepstake riding on her. I was robbed ;)

  6. Beautiful photos, I love the bumblebee shot. What camera do you use? I have been thinking of treating myself to a new camera, but I want something small enough that I would be happy to carry it most days.
