Garden Tales

I started this post with a long rambling discourse about plants and flowers and bounteous beauty and blah, blah, blah, blah. Yawn. It's all been written before. I have a tendency to wax lyrical, and to be honest I don't have the talent for it!!

But here's the thing.

I am obsessed.

With planting seeds.

And growing them.

And potting on.

 And planting out

 And giving away.

 And watching.

 And looking.

 And inspecting.

 And enjoying.

If you should ever visit (and if you did I would be very pleased to see you), don't be alarmed if I answer the door with muddy hands, waving a trowel about. It's all in welcome. Hello! Come on in! I'll offer you a cup of tea. Maybe some cake, if I've been baking (I haven't for a while. The boys are mutinous). And then I'll probably grab you by the hand in the distracted manner of the obsessed, lead you through the patio doors and out into the garden.

I'll parade you round and point out this and that. I may thrust a plant or two - courgette anyone? Snapdragon? Dahlia?  - into your hands. No, go on take it. I've got loads more. I just like planting seeds, you see. It's like magic. It gives me this satisfied full up happy feeling.

And as you back away, nervously clutching your plant, remember.......

It all started with a couple of packets of wild flowers seeds to plant with Olly.

  4. You are having such success with your seeds! Without a green house my success rate is low and I get disheartened.

    1. My father in law bought a small plastic greenhouse a couple of years ago. He has grown cues, toms, courgettes, peas and some flowers from seed.

I love my greenhouse. It's amazing what can be achieved.
