A Visual Reminder

Soooo,

Betty is all packed and ready to go. It wasn't too bad in the end. I had my lists. I was methodical. If I haven't packed enough pants, well, that's what the launderette is for.

I am a tad anxious. I'm not very good at going away. I like my home comforts. I like the familiar surroundings of home. I would never have made it as a pioneer. I would have been the worst travelling companion, I'm sure of it. I wasn't born with any kind of gun ho spirit. But going to Brittany for a week is hardly trekking into the depths of the Amazon. So I've had a quiet word with myself, and I'm going to watch a little tennis to relax.

But before I do, I'm posting this as a visual reminder to myself. The garden is about to burst forth with loveliness. St Ives is forecast really good weather for the next week, so I know that there will be blooms a plenty when we get home. So a few pictures to enable to me to compare the before and after.

I'm so sorry if you are all bored witless with my never ending garden photos. I promise France in abundance the week after next!

Take care,

Leanne xx

  1. Have the most wonderful time. Are you taking the chooks! I can not believe your garden looks so wonderful ... Our chickens used to love sending the plants flying best of all.

  3. Hi Leanne, I have just happened to stumble across your blog, and so glad I did! Your garden is amazing, I have loved all of your photos! I liked reading your post about self sufficiency, we are at the beginning stages of growing our own fruit and veg (my little ones help too), but in the UK it's hard because of the weather! I know I will learn more from your blog, so I hope you don't mind if I follow along. I am totally envious of your chickens, but my husband says no! (I'm working on it!) :) Have a great holiday, and have a safe journey. :)
