Nature In The Home - A Series

I've meaning to do this for quite a while. It's a super idea from a lovely blog, LittleGreenShed. Lou's Nature In The Home series has captured the imagination of many, and I've loved looking at the weekly submissions. This week the theme is pink. I mentioned in an earlier post about going out one morning with the idea of collecting something pink in mind. I photographed Thrift and Campion.

But I'd like to submit something a bit closer to home. The Clematis Montana is in full bloom in the garden at the moment. I bought it as a small plant about five years ago. During that time it has thrived and scrambled up and over the arch that separates the chickens and the veg and cutting flower patch from the rest of the garden. The flowers bloom in early Spring, but are a bit late this year due to the weather.

I adore it. It makes me so happy.

If you want to see the Thrift and Campion, you can find them here.

  6. So glad to find you via Lou's project, I love clematis Montana, we planted one on a trellis in my mum's garden year's ago and it was always beautiful. I'm also very envious about your location. St Ives is one of my favourite places in the world, in fact we were there last week and am already planning our return! x
