There has been a definite change in the temperature around here. Buds and blossom and shoots and seedlings are popping up all over the place. The pollinators have started to show in greater numbers in the garden. I have begun transplanting vegetable seedlings into the veg patch, and sowing drills of radish, spring onions, peas and salad leaves.
This afternoon Olly and I (well mainly me. Olly ran around with a pea stick fighting monsters) planted out Aster seedlings, Foxglove plugs, Delphiniums and Globe Thistles. I also tied in the Honeysuckle and Clematis in order to train them up the trellis. In the greenhouse I potted up two tomato plants that I bought from the garden centre.
It has been so lovely to potter around the garden in the early evening. It is the start of evenings to come. I can't wait!
I may have rather overdone sowing seeds. I am becoming more and more inundated every day. I wish I had someone to pass them onto. I'll be taking orders soon enough. If you are local to me let me know if you'd like some. I'd be happy to oblige. I mean how many courgettes does a girl need?

ReplyDeleteIt looks like you are going to have a very productive garden this year! Things are still a bit too cold where I live in Canada to garden, but I am hoping to be able to plant in a couple of weeks. It is so nice to "play in the dirt" after a long winter!
