The Child Inside

I just wanted to share this lovely day with you. Walking the dogs on the beach while Olly was at nursery. It was glorious. I started running with the dogs and I couldn't stop. It was like being a kid again. I was reminded of this.

It was fun running around like a fool. I am usually doing something foolish on the beach, but it's more acceptable when you have a child or two in tow. I've decided to start running along the beaches and sand dunes (more about that later).

Oh, and someone commented on the fact that I had three dogs with me today - "Three dogs? That's just eccentric!" Honestly I am the least eccentric person you could meet, so I was dead chuffed!!

This evening we are a family of three, as Sam has gone to Oxford for his gifted and talented conference. I'm so proud of him, but I definitely hacked him off this morning with my constant questions.Things like "Have you packed enough socks?" and "Do you want a packed lunch for the train?"

I think I was anxious.......

  1. These photos are gorgeous. I wish I lived near the beach. I lived on the east coast of the US most of my life, only a couple of hours from the ocean, and only saw it a few times. I'm sorry not to have done it more often now that I'm living in the mountain desert. You made me laugh with comment about "that's just eccentric," how funny. I would have enjoyed hearing that too. :)

  2. These photos are so beautiful, all blue skies, sand and rock pools. I am very jealous indeed. It looks as though it was hot too - please tell me it was freezing or I'll die of jealousy. x
