Absence...and all that

I have missed you.

I've been scribbling like a woman possessed in my gardening journal. Huge changes in my little plot. A LOT of bulb planting for what will hopefully be a magnificent Spring display. Unless Beryl and Jean have their way. They have been caught frantically scratching and digging up my hopes and dreams of abundant Tulips, Daffs, Crocus, Snowdrops, Bluebells, Narcissi and Primrose.

Naughty girls. I am very cross. They are not bothered one way or the other.

The Sycamore and Plum trees have had a drastic haircut. It worries me when I look out of the window and see their sad outlines in the garden. It is all for the greater good. I have been assured of that. My pond has a leak. The lining has a tear, and this weekend will be spent rescuing it, so that the frogs, toads and newts will have a place to lay their spawn next Spring.

I have ordered the shrubs for the garden that will hopefully create a natural wind-break. I live on a hill. I have a problem with wind....

Also.

I have a new car.

Marc has  new job.

I am in mourning for Bakeoff.

I am spending part of every day on the beach.

Olly and me love the new Autumn song on CBeebies.

Should I cut my hair short?

Normal service has been resumed.
