Update In Brief
It's been a good half term.
Full of quiet mornings and hanging out. Mini adventures with Pops. Vintage treasures. Chai lattes. My Mum staying for a few days. Lego, play doh and marble runs. Belly laughs at the cinema. Finally finishing that scarf. Wind and rain and sunshine. Another new mug. Three books on the go at once. New recipes. Discovering a new walk. Catching up. Early nights.
I went for a walk with Honey first thing. It was a glorious morning and my intention was to breathe in the air and take a look at town before it opened. There were fellow dog walkers, runners, little people in wellies and hats running in and out of the surf and people packing up their cars and preparing to leave their holiday accommodation.
St Ives has been handed back for a couple of weeks until Easter, and I intend to make the most of it.
Leanne xx
Edit - I've decided to put my phizzog back on the blog. I have had short hair for several months now, and still no photo of it . I will remedy that as soon as I can pluck up courage to be in front of rather than behind the camera.

Glad you've had a good break. I can only imagine how busy it must get there, good for you enjoying the peace while you can.
ReplyDeleteHello, I came across your blog a few months ago and I really love it. What has made me smile is "about you" and the fact that you are the only female in your house. The same is with me- I've got a husband and a 6yr boy, male cat and dog, and funny enough, out of 10 chickens we got last March, only two are hens :). However I don't complain, it's funny being surrounded with guys. This would be more than enough for the first comment I guess. Hugs, Ivana from Serbia
ReplyDeleteI am glad to see your photo back... It makes it more personal and you. Glad you had a good half term. Lovely to be able to spend time with your Mum and the sun shone .... At last x
ReplyDeleteI check in on you most days too, but my first time of posting a comment - you have such a natural writing style. It really lets us in - to your thoughts, and your enviable lifestyle. I adore Cornwall, visit often just to wander along empty beaches in all weathers, and I suppose that's what first drew me in. I'm a teacher, almost at retirement now, so glad you enjoy your family life with your boys, I have 3 and look back on their early lives with fondness. Your blog will be an amazing aid to your memories when you need solace. Thank you for sharing with us Leanne. So looking forward to spring. Mary
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say hello as a very new follower of your very lovely blog. .Antonia of Sandy Shoes pointed me in your direction, me being one of those grockle (?) types that descend your way most years. I do love Cornwall and have hugely enjoyed looking back your posts, crikey those waves!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to reading more. It's always great to discover a beautiful blog, thanks so much. X
Your half term sounds busy but nice - my kind of busy. Hope you have some calmer weather in the lead up to Easter. Enjoy xo
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect sort of week Leanne XX
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have been enjoying a lovely break and I think there is something wonderful about having a few books on the go at once. I am interested to hear how you are getting on with your food changes, not sure you got my email (sorry won't mention it again!). Enjoy your quiet before Easter and summer knocks on the door). xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt sounds as though you have been having a good week of half term Leanne!! xx
ReplyDeleteBliss! I love holidays like these, a bit of adventure, a lot of pottering, laughing and enjoying each others company. Our half term was too hectic but there is the Easter holiday to look forward too. I like your picture, it adds a personal touch and if by any chance I should walk into you, I'll be able to say hello. Enjoy St. Yves while it is quiet. Cx
ReplyDeleteYour break sounds just lovely. I have no idea what a phizzog is but I like that your profile pic is back :-) How can someone who does a video singing along to Kenny Rogers be camera shy??? :-) Have a great week! Mel x
ReplyDeleteAaah the irony of the drama queen! x
DeleteGlad you have a good half term despite the visitors to St Ives. I love your new panoramic picture from the chapel. Sarah x
ReplyDeleteWas St Ives busy over half term? Goodness, what must it be like in the summer holidays! I'm glad you had a great half term. That panoramic photo is fab. x
