Silly Season

December in St Ives.

This year the town is going all out with events, late night shopping, competitions, entertainment and offers to persuade us all to buy local, and maybe encourage other people to visit and shop here too. It kicked off on Saturday with the annual Fair Mo held inside the parish church. There were lots of stalls selling yummy things, gorgeous crafts, choirs, bell ringing, raffles and Santa.

I loved it.
I bought a few presents too.

Alfie, Olly & Billy enjoyed it too, although Olly wasn't too sure about meeting Santa, and made his feelings very clear by pulling his hat down over his face.

It was a gorgeous day in St Ives. Bright sunshine bathed the sheltered harbour, and the boys played games while we sat and drank take away coffees. My sister had come down to visit, which was an unexpected and lovely surprise. I don't get to see her as much as I would like, so it was good to chatter away while the boys were busy.

It was a good family weekend.

I hope your weekend was filled with laughter, fun and good food too.  xx
