All quiet today.

The rain has prevented Olly and I from venturing outside. We've had a busy week and a disturbed night's sleep, so it's probably just as well.

I have decided that it's chippy tea tonight.

Also baking.

I have made a lemon and poppy seed cake from a recipie in the Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook.  Alfie's just got home from school and cut himself a very large piece. There he goes upstairs with it even though I don't allow food up there, young man.

Moist, tangy, light. What's not to love?

Not a bad way to start the weekend.

I am in a relaxy pants mood.
