Can you imagine the frustration of someone who has commited (or re-commited) to something, only to find that she is scuppered at every turn? That's me. Computer woes and a pulled hamstring have made it difficult for me to do much more than hobble and swear. The fact that I'm finally able to write here today is thanks to Marc and his talent for restoring order to the chaos I create around anything that needs electricity. I think it's a syndrome. If I could I'd write you all a letter, instead of typing furiously at my dining table. Then again, you wouldn't be able to read it, because I have the world's most appalling handwriting. It used to be lovely, but somewhere along the way I lost the knack. I doubt it will ever return. I toyed with some kind of calligraphy exercises, but then I remembered that I am very impatient. I don't stick with anything that I find difficult. I'll have a go, but if I don;t immediately like it/get it/understand it I'm off like a dirty shirt.

So the running is a constant surprise to me. If I'm brutally honest,

  5. Looking forward to the rest of your post once you have taken a hammer to your computer. Shaking them is another great technique. You could always try stroking it, but it sounds like that might be too kind. Glass of wine is probably the answer. Not over the the computer Leanne but for you to drink. Best of luck! B x

  6. Cut off mid stream! I sympathise about your running injury - me too. Frustrating isn't it? I'm currently just swimming and doing yoga. Looking forward to the re-post. xx

  7. I hope that computer of yours stops torturing you! I like to think that mine hates to be ignored so when it is not doing what I want it to do (often) I put it in a corner and pretend it doesn't exist. xx

  9. Oh no, pulled hamstring, does that mean no running? I have the same effect on electrical things. I have to get the kids to show me how to work the remote.

  10. You need a teenager to huide you..!
Sorry, did I say 'guide'? I mean to sigh and mutter 'for God's sake' as he tries to correct your mistakes, with you peering over his shoulder..!
Hope to see you back soon! X

  13. Blog post ending with the cliff-hanger 😁. Hope your computer comes back to his senses (of course it's male, when did you see such an unreasonable female)

  14. It's so annoying when you decide to do something and it just doesn't work. I hope your hamstring recovers quickly, and your electronics/computer woes. It's interesting what you said about your handwriting. Mine has completely disintegrated too. I think it's from lack of practice. The only handwriting I do these days is for the grocery list and the Post-It notes scattered about. I've thought about trying calligraphy too, but have come to the same conclusions as you. It would probably end up in the same untouched pile as my French course, colour books, and drawing instructional book.
