The Year In Books - June

I thoroughly enjoyed May's read. I have read a few of Kate Atkinson's novels. I found this one very thought provoking. The idea of a life lived over and over again, and whether the chance to live again would prompt you to make changes for yourself and maybe the fate of the world. This is Ursula's fate. To be born and to perish. To be born and to live. To live again and again with different reactions and outcomes during her many lives.

My choice for June is 'Gillespie and I', by Jane Harris. Another female author.

  1. Hi Leanne. Yes, I loved this book, too. I didn't really want it to end actually. I am not familiar with Jane Harris and look forward to your review. Enjoy reading your new book. Christina x

  2. I haven't read this but it sounds good. Your recommendations have always worked for me, so I'll look for it.

  3. I also liked 'Life after Life'. Kept having to go back and reread bits to check out how things changed each time. Fascinating, but tricky on a Kindle and one of the disadvantages of e-books.

  4. Another author to add to my list (and attempt to keep away from the crime fiction genre) :-) Hope you enjoy it!
