Chasing My Tail

Hello there.

A busy weekend. In a nice way. Dodging the ridiculous weather. But making the most of it too. Celebrating a friend's birthday. Feeling my age. Making pulled pork. Planning our camping adventures. Nursing a poorly boy. Watching 'Derek.' Smiling in the greenhouse. Train tracks all over the house. Lusting over footwear. Being very good. In awe of Saga. Carpets at last. Obligatory lists.....

Today it is bucketing it down. Olly is not at nursery. So we are playing with modelling clay. I have house-worked in record time, while he lay in repose on the sofa. All bundled up in a duvet and watching Power Rangers. I did have plans for today, but stuff happens.

I have rather a lot of blog catching up to do. I mean to and then 'The Bridge' calls to me. I am glued to the tv, falling a little in love with the Danish detective with her leather trousers and off beat character. So sorry if I haven't been around. I miss blogland, but I am aware too that I probably spend far too much time on it. It's a favourite waste of time, but I feel torn. Thank you for all your lovely comments on the changes to my blog. Lou has done a lovely job. It's weird to have a pared back me. I am the proverbial magpie.

This week is another busy one. I hope you all have a lovely week - whatever the weather.

Leanne xx

  1. Hi Leanne,

LOVE the new header! It looks so great - clean, fresh, nature-inspired, Lou did a lovely job :-) I know what you mean about blog catching up. I thought I'd only had a few nights away from it as I'm busy getting all the kids ready for the first day back at school for the year but here I see I've missed a whole bunch of Posts! Love that photo of Olly - he really looks a lot like you in that shot! Must get onto "The Bridge", you're the 3rd blogger that's raved about it recently and I love a good detective series...have a great week!

  2. I love your new header, it's fabulous! Very you. Yes, keeping up with blogs is hugely time consuming, I struggle with it too. I have the final episode of The Bridge to watch tonight. I love it so much and yes, Saga is fab. I rather like Martin too...xx

  3. Blogging feels like a full-time unpaid job sometimes. I understand. I loved Derek! I laughed so much. Of course, my husband wanted to look up "Baby Monkey Riding on a Pig" after seeing it on the show and we've watched that video a LOT. Sigh. It was funny at first. We've been watching An Idiot Abroad recently and really enjoying that. Hope you have a good week, hang in there. :)

  4. Ye gads, I am exhausted just reading all the layers of things you've been doing. You must be like a mummy octopus doing something different with each hand and foot.

I love how many folk are into the BBC4 eurocop programmes and the Bridge was definitely a goodie. Hope all goes well at home and everything calms down from warp speed.

  6. I hope that Olly is better soon and that whatever passes for normal in your house resumes! Your blog makeover is great, lovely and simply, but clear and still very pretty! Great combination. I hope that you are pleased with it, because you are the most important person that needs to be happy with it. Hope that you have a good week. xx

  7. Blogging and reading blogs is a great way to kill time when you should be planning and doing school work. I find I seem to acquire more must read blogs all the time - sometimes I look at Bloglovin and think 'well, there goes an hour'...but I love it! x
