Camp Bestival - 2013

Oh it was grand.

We got up to all sorts.

I'm sure there will be a myriad of posts about Camp Bestival.

Here is mine!

Olly boogied to Billy Bragg and The Proclaimers (who says political folk songs aren't groovy), got freaked out by Mr Tumble, slept through the Wurzels, ate copious amounts of ice cream, played and ran, loved the dinosaurs and the insect circus, went up the helter skelter..but wouldn't come down, chilled in the sun and loved every minute.

Alfie laughed at Horrible Histories, loved Dick and Dom, thought the dinosaur show was "surprisingly accurate," didn't wash for four days, bought a sword, danced in the open air, had it large in the Bollywood tent, enjoyed the falconry display, thought the fireworks were amazing and was brilliant company.

Marc enjoyed the lager, did a lot of Dad dancing, didn't shave, now knows "where that Blackbird be," wants to go to another festival and had lots of fun with his boys.

Leanne drank JD and coke during the day, raved with her son, ate lots of Nachos, loved the tutus and the flower garlands, thought the Welsh story teller on the Bandstand was fantastic, considered the hippy way (for a while at least) and just enjoyed being part of the family vibe.

We were lucky with the weather. We slept like logs. We bonded over awning construction. We danced and sang and laughed and hung out.

All in all a jolly good time was had by all.

Leanne xx
