52 Weeks Of Happy - 13/52

Before I start the happy, I need to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has commented or sent me lovely messages of support since my last post. I was really really touched by it all. And also a hearty welcome to all of you who have decided to stick around, and make yourself known. I am touched by that too!!

......................

So joining in with Little Birdie and Tales From A Happy House, I present this week's worth of happy.

Charity Shop Haul

I have found the best charity shop. If you don't mind, it's going to be my delicious little secret. How gorgeous is that tureen? It has inspired the kitchen's new colour scheme. Not shown are a pair of knitting needles, and a  book for Olly. Not bad for £6.50!!

Olly's Boat

Olly came home from nursery with this amazing junk craft model boat. His nursery teacher said that he had made it all by himself with minimum intervention. It is a boat! With a sail and everything! I was gob-smacked. He was so proud of his creation, and couldn't wait to show his brothers when they came home from school.

Street Name

I love quirky street names - St Ives has a lot of them, my favourite being Teetotal Street. I passed this the other day, pulled the car around, got out, and had to take a photo. Who was Granny Polly? I have all sorts of stories going around in my head about her. I've jotted some down. Maybe the seeds of something....

Waves

I love seeing the waves crashing up and over. The awesome power and majesty of the sea. It's so thrilling to watch. It's all "Ooooh" and "Aaaaah" from me. While watching and snapping away (this was taken at Porthleven) a surfer ran down the quay, did a few stretches and then gracefully dived off the side of the pier and swam out into the surf.

And that is the happy!

I notice that many of you are either spring cleaning or decorating or both at the moment. I too, have to urge to do some of that stuff. Playroom and kitchen first, I think. I feel the need for a de-clutter too. And a re-arrange and a pottery re-shuffle......

I am still learning how to use my new fabulous camera. I am not very confident, but hope to get a snatched hour at the weekend and practice in the garden. There are Spring flowers popping up everywhere, so I plan a post about them with fancy pants pictures to go with it.

Once again thank you all so much for your support. You really are all completely marvellous. Yes you are. No really, you are.

  2. So glad to hear you're feeling better, Leanne. I have never read that book but I would like to. I love charity shops so much; we call them "thrift stores" here. I just went to one yesterday and left with a card game as well as a pair of pants and a skirt, both for my daughter, for a total of $2.50! I love a bargain. Olly is an adorable little boy!

  3. So glad to see a happy post, Leanne, although I do have charity shop envy. I never seem to find anything in mine. Olly is adorable and his boat is brilliant! He must be inspired by the sea too.
