Porthcurno

It has been glorious weather in West Cornwall this weekend.

We have been extremely productive:

a new compound for Beryl and Jean. Servicing Betty. Planting summer bulbs. Sowing broad beans, peas, tomatoes, dill, tarragon, chives and loads of summer annuals. There are sweet peas soaking overnight to be potted up tomorrow. A huge tidy of the garden.

Even though the children have on occasion been well.. vile, we did manage to get our this afternoon to one of our favourite places.

Porthcurno.

A place of great beauty.

An historic place.

And today and very windy place. Huge waves and foam scudding across the beach. Alfie and Olly loved running in and out of the foam. Sam found a sheltered spot to read. Honey went barmy for her new ball. It was exhilarating.

Afterwards we sat in Betty, ate hot dogs, drank hot chocolate and hung out as families should.

We drove back along the coast road. The colours of the landscape were incredible.

Sometimes where I live just takes my breath away.

Hope you all had a good weekend too.

Leanne xx
