Snow

At 3am I was quietly wrestling with a very recaltritant Oliver (he is only Oliver when I am cross. And I was cross). He was playing silly monkeys on the landing, and kept getting out of bed. For some reason I glanced out of the window. And there it was.

 Snow.

Flurries of snow falling from the sky.

Swirling around.

Silently landing on hedge and pavement and fence.

A beautiful sight.

I forgot that I was cross. I forgot that it was the middle of the night. I forgot that I was tired. I carried Olly over to the window and we looked out together. He pointed out of the window and simply said "snow!" Together we watched. Both of us wide eyed with wonder. It was a perfect moment.

And guess what? Olly went back to bed and didn't wake up until seven thirty!!

As you can see there wasn't much snow. In fact it had practically disappeared by lunchtime. Shame.

Alfie is gutted. Olly keeps asking where the snow has gone. Samuel was sent home from school today with "Italian flu".......

Another week unfolds.
