Into April

It's days like these that I feel sorry for the St Ives tourist. The weather doesn't know what to do with itself. We've had it all in the past forty eight hours. The greenhouse has been the victim of a howling gale, and I now have smashed glass all over my seed trays. It's no joke picking out tiny splinters of glass from your borlottis, I can tell you.

I am hoping that April sorts it's indecision out, and brings forth sunshine.

  1. I'm with you, our greenhouse drew it's last breath as the gale force winds destroyed it. Here's to a good Summer xx

  2. I'm with you too - I'm lacking enthusiasm to get outside and sort the garden and greenhouse in this sort of weather! Here's hoping it settles down soon. x

  3. Gosh, that sounds rough. I don't envy that kind of cleanup. Be careful. I hope your weather settles down soon, especially for the upcoming holiday.

  4. Wild weather here too. And so changeable, it's driving me bonkers, one minute I'm roasting, the next freezing. And then the rain starts.mad. Have a great Easter

  7. Wow that last picture is awesome. I don't think the tourists will mind if they can see that. Sorry about your glass house. Mine has several pieces missing now too! x

  8. i feel your pain, we moved the chickens to the top end of the garden a couple of weeks ago which was aklways their intended spot when we moved in 10 months before. Since then we have had howling wind, rain, snow, hail and at rare times sun. I have stood watching the wind whipping in over the fence right behind them and lifting their roof. I am sure its only a matter of time before it gets ripped off and deep down I know we have to get slightly taller fence panels but with any luck the roof will last a little longer and i also know that actually Mrs P and Flossie dont appreciate the roof anyway, little madams!

  9. I lay in bed two nights ago listening to the raging wind chucking a bucket about and waited for the sound of breaking glass, which thankfully didn't happen. Although a greenhouse pane mysteriously slid out and smashed all by itself unaided by the wind they day before. Odd. Cold here. Where is the bloody spring gone? xxx

  10. Just look at the beautiful colour of that sea! Absolutely gorgeous. Shame about the greenhouse. I've just spent a pleasant hour in mine sowing seeds - it was quite cosy in there listening to the wind; fortunately, no glass broke! Here's hoping your borlottis are OK. Have a Happy Easter. x

  11. I'd settle for April bringing me a trip to the ocean shore, any weather would do ... that second picture, I could look at it all day, all week even!

  16. Lovely photos Leanne, I love the colour of the gorse, and I love the coconutty smell of it. Sorry to hear about your greenhouse, I was expected something to come crashing down in the wind but got away with just the water butt being blown over.
